Sioux Valley Energy annual meeting promises to be a magical event
Tuesday, June 5 - Brookings Swiftel Center
Illusion and magic...the theme for this year's annual meeting. "We are excited to again be combining our annual meeting and member appreciation event. We will provide a complimentary supper to guests, conduct a short business meeting and then show our appreciation to members by sponsoring an illusion show!" said Carrie Law, Director of Communications and Government Relations.
All Sioux Valley Energy members and their immediate family are invited and will need to attend the annual meeting to receive entrance to the member appreciation portion of the evening. All children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
Prior to the meeting, a complimentary meal will be provided to members where they can also play bingo with a chance to win prizes. Several children's activities will keep kids entertained prior to the meeting including: face painting, 811 safety ring toss, limbo with Energy Ed, a photo booth and more.
Bylaw amendments will be proposed at this meeting. For an explanation of the bylaws click here.
Once the meeting has concluded, members will be invited to take part in an illusion show by Reza. Reza is a Brookings, S.D. native and has traveled the nation providing magical entertainment for large audiences.
The cooperative will also be collecting donations of canned and non-perishable food which will be distributed to area food banks. Any member who brings three food items will receive a CFL bulb. Members who bring five food items will receive a LED night light.
Sioux Valley Energy is asking all members to RSVP either with the return postcard they receive in the mail, with a phone call to 800-234-1960 or click here. Please indicate the number of individuals attending and include your zip code.
Members who are interested in traveling to North Dakota to tour the Energy Trail July 10-12, 2012 can enter their name in a drawing to be selected at the annual meeting. Winners of the drawing will receive an all expense paid trip to North Dakota for themselves and a guest. Participants will tour a coal mine, a generating station and hydro-electric facilities. The trip will also include entertainment and a visit to the North Dakota Heritage Museum.
